Mizzou WBB falls just short of upset bid over No. 20 Tennessee

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou women's basketball team led after each of the first three quarters on Thursday night, but the Tigers could not close out No. 20 Tennessee. The Lady Volunteers went on to beat the Tigers 78-73.

MU was up 60-55 headed into the fourth quarter, but that's when Rennia Davis went off. The Lady Vols senior scored 20 points in the final ten minutes of the game.

MU is now 8-10 overall and 4-9 in the SEC. Up next - the Tigers will play at Mississippi State on Sunday at 3 p.m.
