Mizzou hoops moves up to No. 10 in latest AP poll rankings

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's basketball team moved up eight spots to No. 10 in the latest AP poll released on Monday.

This is the highest the Tigers have been ranked since December of 2012. MU is also now the highest ranked SEC team in the country. Here's a link to see the entire poll.

This comes after the Tigers beat Kentucky and Alabama at home last week. The Tigers are now 13-3 overall and 6-3 in the SEC.

Also on Monday - Dru Smith was named the SEC player of the week for the third time this season. He averaged 22 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in wins over Kentucky and Alabama last week.

Up next - MU will play at Ole Miss on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
