Former Mizzou football star to take over as head coach at Kirkwood

ST. LOUIS (KMIZ)

Former Mizzou football star Jeremy Maclin will be the next head football coach at his alma mater, Kirkwood High School, pending board approval.

Maclin joined the Pioneers staff after retiring from the NFL in 2019. He's been Kirkwood's wide receivers coach as well as quarterbacks coach/offensive coordinator in his two seasons with the team.

Maclin is a member of Kirkwood's All-Century team for his standout performance in high school. He's also a member of the Pioneers hall of fame.

The 32-year-old played for the Tigers from 2006-08. Philadelphia drafted with the No. 19 pick in the first round of the 2019 draft. Maclin played 10 season in the NFL, including two seasons with the Chiefs.
