Tracking bitter cold into the weekend

TONIGHT: Temperatures will fall into the teens with wind chills near zero. Cloud cover will stick around. Watch for leftover slick spots on the roads.

MONDAY: Cloud cover overnight from Sunday will save temperatures from falling back into the single digits. The morning will start off slightly more comfortable in the mid-teens with highs in the low 20s. Wind chills are still expected to fall close to zero in the morning. Another round of snow is possible, but lack of moisture keeps accumulations minimal.

EXTENDED: The rest of the week is spent in the teens to around 20 degrees during the day, with overnight lows in the single digits. With nearly zonal flow, disturbances could bring snow on Wednesday and Friday with very frigid air in place. We continue to cold weather into next weekend with temperatures remaining in the teens and lows hovering just above zero.
