No. 12 Mizzou hoops blown out by No. 7 Tennessee in SEC opener

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The No. 12 Mizzou men's basketball team was no match for No. 7 Tennessee on Wednesday night in MU's SEC opener. The Volunteers beat the Tigers 73-53.

Tennessee opened the game on a 23-4 run, and Mizzou could never get back in the game.

Xavier Pinson led MU with 11 points on 2-7 shooting. He was the only Tiger player in double-figures.

The Tigers are now 6-1 on the season. Up next - Mizzou will play at Arkansas on Saturday at 11 a.m.
