Mizzou WBB falls to No. 20 Missouri State in return from COVID-19 hiatus

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou women's basketball team had a tough test in its return from a 17-day COVID-19 hiatus. The Tigers lost to No. 20 Missouri State 72-58 on Monday night. Mizzou is now 1-1 on the season.

Mizzou forward LaDazhia Williams led the Tigers with 15 points and eight rebounds.

Mizzou guard Hayley Frank played well against her hometown team. The Strafford native had 12 points and seven rebounds.

Up next - MU will host New Orleans on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
