Mizzou’s Blackwell named to preseason All-SEC second team

Mizzou women's basketball standout Aijha Blackwell was named to the preseason All-SEC second team on Tuesday.
Blackwell is entering her second season with the Tigers. She averaged 15 points and seven rebounds a game as a freshman.
As a team, MU was selected to finish 10th in the SEC in the preseason poll. The full rankings are below.

Also on Tuesday, the NCAA granted Lauren Hanson immediate eligibility to play for the Tigers this season. The Auburn transfer averaged 8 points a game a freshman last season.
Mizzou will open up its season at home on Nov. 27 against North Alabama.
