Medical marijuana sales in Missouri begin

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The first legal sales of medical marijuana in Missouri began on Saturday between licensed dispensaries and qualified patients and caregivers.

There were 192 licensed dispensaries in the state when sales began.

The Department of Health and Senior Services expects most dispensaries to be open by the end of the year.

The department has an interactive map that shows which dispensaries have been approved to operate.
