Authorities arrested a Fulton man in connection with an armed robbery on Saturday.

Fulton Police officers, with the assistance of the Callaway County Sheriff's Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, arrested 33-year-old Kyle D Newton, after he allegedly robbed the Casey's General Store on S Business 54.

Reports say Newton entered the store around 10:15 p.m. Saturday, displayed a knife, took multiple items, lunged toward employees and then left the store.

Newton was located and arrested a short time later.

He was released to the Callaway County Jail pending charges of armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and robbery.
