Columbia police investigating fatal pedestrian crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

One person died after being struck by two vehicles while walking on Interstate 70 Saturday. The crash happened around midnight.

Columbia police have not identified the person who died because next of kin has not been notified. They did release the person's age as 43-years-old.

According to a release from police, the individual was walking in the westbound driving lane of I-70 around the 126.6 mile marker near Providence Road.

A vehicle was driving westbound and struck the pedestrian. A second vehicle then struck the pedestrian.

The individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two drivers were not injured.

Columbia police are still investigating the crash.
