One person receives serious injuries in Jefferson City crash

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Jefferson City Police Department and the Jefferson City Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Mississippi Street and Ellis Boulevard Sunday morning.

It happened around 10:51 a.m.

According to a press release from the police department, Annetaa Hamlin was driving northbound on Mississippi Street when she failed to stop for a stop sign and was struck by a vehicle driven by Michael Townley.

Townley was driving eastbound on Ellis Boulevard at the time.

Hamlin received serious injuries and was transported the hospital by ambulance.

Townley was not injured in the crash.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
