Tracking scattered storms, heat on Thursday

TONIGHT: Isolated storms early, mostly clear. Lows in the low 70s.

TOMORROW: Partly cloudy with scattered storms possible by early afternoon. Some could be strong with gusty winds and heavy rain. Highs in the upper 80s to around 90. Heat index between 94-97.

EXTENDED: Several disturbances will make their way across the Midwest through the next few days, giving us a chance for scattered storms on Thursday, Friday, and possibly Saturday. The best coverage will likely come on Thursday, with limited storm chances as we approach the weekend. Highs remain right around 90 for Friday and Saturday, but we finally get a break from the humidity as a front slides through on Sunday. This will also be our coolest day of the week as we see highs top out in the upper 80s. Next week, precipitation will be very limited and we could reach the mid-90s for highs by the middle of the week.
