COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A resident at the retirement home the Bluffs in Columbia tested positive for COVID-19.

The case was found as the result of facility-wide testing of all residents and staff after it was announced on Wednesday a staff member tested positive for the virus.

The Bluffs said it will continue to screen residents and staff as well as sanitize the facility.

Residents, family, and regulatory agencies are being notified.

Officials say the facility has a plan in place for routine testing and employees will continue to wear the appropriate PPE.
