Authorities divert traffic after motorcycle crash in Jefferson City

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

One man was sent to the hospital after crashing their motorcycle in Jefferson City.

Around 3:40 p.m. Saturday officers with the Jefferson City Police Department responded to a crash on Highway 50 after a motorcycle lost control.

The driver, 60-year-old Darryl Sinden, was attempting to merge onto Highway 50 West from Highway 54 West when he lost control of the motorcycle. He crossed all four lanes of westbound Highway 50 and came to rest against the center concrete barrier.

Sinden was transported to the hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.

Traffic was diverted for approximately 30 minutes while officers investigated the scene.
