Linn Creek police chief charged with domestic assault

LINN CREEK, Mo. (KMIZ)

Linn Creek police chief Gregory Berry was charged with fourth-degree domestic assault on Feb. 6 after he allegedly pushed a victim at his home in October 2019.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was contacted by Lake Regional Hospital on Oct. 11 after the victim came to the emergency room in an ambulance, according to a probable cause statement. The victim told investigators Berry threw her into a baby's crib and handcuffed her.

Berry admitted to investigators that he put his hands on the victim and likely left bruises, court documents said.

Berry was arrested on Saturday around 12:45 p.m. and is scheduled to have his initial court appearance on March 2.

The case was sent to the MSHP to investigate, and investigators followed 13 leads on the situation. The investigation took about three months to complete, according to a MSHP spokesman.
