School bus runs off road during Monday commute

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia Public Schools bus ran off the side of the road Monday morning during its commute.

No students were on board when the runoff happened around 7:30 a.m. Monday on Route KK and Barksdale Mill Drive in Columbia, said CPS spokeswoman Michelle Baumstark.

The bus became stuck in the mud as there was no shoulder on the road, Baumstark said.

No one was hurt in the crash, and the bus was waiting to be towed at 8:30 a.m.
