Company recalls face mask after reports of burns

Katie Greathouse

The company Yes To has recalled its Grapefruit Vitamin C Glow-Boosting Unicorn Paper Mask after some customers complained it irritated their skin.

The mask claims to brighten dull and uneven skin. It comes in shiny, pink packaging and usually costs around three dollars.

In a Jan. 3 Facebook post, the company said it is investigating and apologized to customers.

"At Yes To, the safety and satisfaction of our customers are our main concerns. We value you and apologize to anyone who was affected in this way, especially over the holiday season," the post said.

The product is sold in a variety of stores, including Ulta, Target and Walmart.

ABC 17 News called Ulta's Columbia store to see if they still had any of the masks for sale. The employee told us the store removed all of the masks from the shelves.

Anyone who experienced an issue with the product is asked to contact the company at customercare@yesto.com.
