COOPER COUNTY, Mo.

Cooper County Sheriff's Office and Missouri State Highway Patrol continued to search for the subject of a manhunt on Monday morning.

Authorities tried to pull over a stolen vehicle on Friday afternoon, and two people exited the car and ran from police, the CCSO said on its Facebook page.

The Cooper County Emergency Management Agency issued an alert Friday telling people in the area of Highway 98 and Highway 179 to be on guard.

According to alerts sent via text, law enforcement officers were looking for a man with shaggy blonde hair near the intersection, close to Interstate 70. The alerts told residents to stay inside and call 911 if they spot something suspicious.

Law enforcement officers were able to capture one of the suspects, Angel M. Fagre, 21, of Iberia. Fagre was charged with tampering with a motor vehicle and resisting arrest.

As of Monday morning, authorities were still searching for the man, according to the CCSO. The man was believed to have gotten a ride from someone and taken out of the area.
