After investigating, police found there were three teens in the area at the time of the shooting, and the teens were talking to people in the vehicle where the shooting allegedly happened, according to an MPSD news release.

“As the groups went separate directions someone in the vehicle fired a gun,” the release said.

A home and nearby parked vehicle were hit in the shooting. No one was hurt in the incident.

Police have been talking with two of the teenagers and are still investigating the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call Mexico police at 573-473-5800 or 573-581-2100
