Sharp cutoff between heavy rain and staying dry this week

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy, chance of a shower or storm west of Highway 63. Lows in the upper 60s.

THURSDAY: Chance of showers and storms along Highway 65. Areas east stay mainly dry and partly cloudy. Highs range from the low to mid-80s.

EXTENDED: The upper level pattern stays the same through the first half of the weekend, with the western half of the state under the gun for heavy rain between 2-4″. Most areas east of Highway 63 stay fairly dry though the next several days. Temperatures will vary by rain coverage, but will likely climb into the upper 80s by the latter part of the weekend into early next week with a drying pattern by Sunday.
