MU announces record-breaking year for fundraising

The University of Missouri announced a record-breaking year in fundraising on Wednesday after it received a total of $200 million in donations during the 2019 academic year.

The amount is an 18 percent increase from the university’s previous record in 2016.

The university also broke the previous record for gifts under $10,000, raising a total of $21.3 million in smaller gifts.

The funds will help support the Mizzou: Our Time to Lead campaign, which uses funds for student recruitment, research and other opportunities for students.

The campaign’s total fund goal is $1.3 billion. The university needs $50 million more to complete the goal.
