Storm chances interrupt a quiet week of weather

TUESDAY: We’ll see abundant sunshine this morning and that will continue into this afternoon. Temperatures will be warmer with these sunny skies and winds turning out of the southwest, topping out in the upper 80s .

TONIGHT: A front will approach the region and ignite some storms north of the viewing area. These will track to the south, possibly impacting the viewing area. Those that do see these storms face the risk of some damaging straight-line winds and hail with some of the stronger cores. These could move in as early as 7-8 PM but the better bet will be toward tonight into the overnight hours.

EXTENDED: After a quick detour, we’ll return to the calmer weather on Wednesday. We’ll likely start out the morning with some leftover cloud cover, but those showers will have left before the morning commute. Sunshine returns by the afternoon, helping us get back into the middle 80s . An upper-level ridge will build over the area, likely snuffing out most rain chances through the end of the week as temperatures stay warm, reaching the upper 80s to near 90 through the weekend.
