Jontay Porter goes undrafted
Jontay Porter was not selected in the 2019 NBA Draft. He will likely sign with a team as an undrafted free agent in the next few days.
Porter averaged 10 points and seven rebounds per game as a freshman at Mizzou. He appeared in all 33 games for the Tigers in his first season at MU. The former Father Tolton High School standout started for the MU seven times.

Porter missed his entire sophomore season due to a torn ACL and MCL. He first tore his ACL and MCL during an exhibition game before the season that forced him to miss his entire sophomore year.
Porter then tore his ACL again in March. The second injury happened while training in Denver where he was rehabbing. He was not cleared for activity when the injury happened.
As a freshman, he was the SEC Co-Sixth Man of the Year and a member of the SEC All-Freshman Team. Most projections had him as a first round pick in 2018. Instead of going pro, Porter chose to return to school for his sophomore year.
Here’s a list of the last five Mizzou players drafted in the NBA:
Round 1, Pick 14: Michael Porter Jr. (Denver, 2018)
Round 2, Pick 46: Jordan Clarkson (Washington/Los Angeles, 2014)
Round 2, Pick 57: Alex Oriakhi (Phoenix, 2013)
Round 2, Pick 44: Kim English (Detroit 2012)
Round 2, Pick 59: Marcus Denmon (San Antonio, 2012)
