Severe storms possible Friday morning, heat ramps up

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and mild, lows in the upper 60s.

FRIDAY: A Weather Alert Day is in effect for the potential for severe thunderstorms in the morning. Storms could bring heavy rain, damaging winds, and hail for the morning commute and exit by lunch time. Temperatures try to recover back into the upper 80s to around 90.

EXTENDED: Friday night dries out but is still very humid with dew points in the upper 70s. Saturday will feature some morning clouds and another hot afternoon with highs in the low 90s and heat index values near 100 degrees. There could be a few storms across our northern counties Saturday night. Another upper level disturbance slides in Saturday night into Sunday bringing yet another chance for scattered showers and storms. Most storms exit by Monday morning.
