Foggy Thursday, potential strong storms by Friday

TONIGHT: Isolated storms taper off early, partly to mostly cloudy and muggy. Lows in the mid-60s with fog developing late.

THURSDAY: Morning fog diminishes by 9AM, leaving partly cloudy skies. Highs reach the lower 80s.

EXTENDED: The ridge of high pressure moves east into Friday with the pattern becoming more active for the end of the work week. Organized showers and storms could bring a severe weather threat Friday morning into the afternoon, especially along and north of I-70. These storms will have the potential of producing damaging winds and hail, but the timing and placement of storms is still somewhat unclear. Saturday is mostly dry with highs in the low 90s, and the heat index climbing to 100 degrees. More rain and storms are possible Sunday into Monday, giving us a weekly forecast total rain of 1-3″.
