Stormy start to the work week is on the table across Mid-Missouri
TONIGHT: Spotty storms looks to slow down as we head into the overnight hours leading to partly cloudy skies into early Monday morning. It will continue to stay warm & muggy overnight with temperatures bottoming out in the mid-to-upper 60s .
MONDAY: We should start sunrise out dry and humid across the region, but it looks like we’ll be tracking another wave of precipitation riding up the I-44 corridor through Monday morning. Similar to what we saw on Sunday we’ll see storms throughout the mid-morning hours. We may see these storms linger a little longer into the afternoon hours. Severe storms don’t look very likely at this point in time but heavy rainfall and frequent lightning are possible. Highs top out in the upper 70s .
EXTENDED: Beyond Monday’s storms we look to slow things down Tuesday. Spotty storms are possible but the day looks mostly dry. Late Tuesday evening and into Wednesday morning looks to pick back up on rain chances. Widespread showers and storms look to take us into Much of Wednesday. Closing out the week will keep around some spotty rain chances. An addition 1-3″ of rain is possible by the end of the week.
