Scattered storms, cooler night ahead
TONIGHT: Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue before midnight, and some could be strong near I-44 and the Lake of the Ozarks with isolated gusty winds and hail. We dry out overnight, with lows near 60.
THURSDAY: The day starts off dry, but isolated showers and a few storms are possible in the late afternoon. It’s cooler, with highs in the mid-70s.
EXTENDED: Friday is a beautiful day with temperatures climbing back into the low 80s with plenty of sunshine. Over the weekend, the upper level flow is a little more northwesterly and will bring a weak disturbance through the region on Saturday, triggering a few late day or evening showers and/or rumbles of thunder. No severe weather is expected over the weekend. Storm chances pick up again next week with the jetstream turning back southwest.
