Mostly dry day with scattered storms this evening
TODAY: Today starts off sunny and remains dry through the majority of the afternoon with highs rising into the mid 80s. This is thanks to southwesterly flow, providing additional moisture to mid-Missouri. As a boundary lifts north isolated storms are going to fire near 5 PM forming a more organized line through the evening and overnight. It’s an ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day with all modes of severe weather possible. Read more about this in the Insider Blog.
TONIGHT: Scattered storms continue overnight with heavy rainfall possible. By morning storms will break up and push east as low temperatures drop into the mid 60s.
EXTENDED: There will be quite a bit of dry time spent during the day on Thursday and into the first half of Friday. Temperatures both days will stay in the low to mid 80s. Heading into the weekend we’ll see rain chances return, and look to hang around through the holiday weekend. This is unwelcomed for many with outdoor plans and also those who have been battling flooding for the better portion of the last couple months.
