Cool start to Monday, storms likely on Tuesday
TONIGHT: Clouds gradually decrease and temperatures drop into the upper 40s to around 50.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny and cooler. Highs reach the upper 60s with winds shifting to the north. Rain approaches the area after midnight.
EXTENDED: A strong storm system is developing across the Plains and will bring a significant severe weather outbreak to the central U.S. Rain and storms associated with that system could move in late Monday night, lingering into early Tuesday morning. Depending on how quickly storms move east, we could have another line of storms that could bring the potential of heavy rain and damaging winds by late afternoon into the evening. We dry out Wednesday with temperatures warming by the end of the week into the 80s. Storm chances increase as we get closer to the weekend.
