Caleb Grill’s 30-point outing lifts Mizzou to second win of the season
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Tiger men's basketball team held off Eastern Washington for an 84-77 win at Mizzou Arena, on Monday night. The victory lifted MU to 2-1 on the season.

The win was highlighted by a 33-point outing from Tiger guard Caleb Grill. He gave his team the jolt they needed, after a sluggish start in the opening minutes, and went off for 16 points in the first 20 minutes, alone. In the second half, he added on 17 points to complete his best outing in the black and gold.

Mizzou went into halftime with a 45-33 lead, but Eastern Washington managed to hang around in the second half. With less than six minutes to play, the Eagles were within five points of the Tigers and kept threatening a tie.
Eastern Washington's Andrew Cook and Mason Williams created some problems for MU, as both players ended up with more than 20 points on the night.
Grill led the scoring for Mizzou and was followed up by Mark Mitchell, who ended up with 13 points. Those two were the only two Tigers to get into double-digit scoring in the win.
Overall, MU shot about 54 percent from the field and 55 percent from 3-point range. Mizzou hit 10 three's on Monday, eight of which came from Grill.
