Warm evening, strong storms on Saturday

*A Weather Alert Day is in effect for Saturday*

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds. Temperatures remain mild most of the night, falling into the upper 60s. Winds will be breezy out of the south up to 15 miles per hour.

SATURDAY: A few isolated thunderstorms are possible, with a line of strong storms arriving to Mid-Missouri by evening. Some storms could bring large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain/localized flooding. Highs top out in the upper 70s to around 80.

EXTENDED: Storms exit Sunday morning, leaving us in the 70s for the afternoon. Monday will bring a lull in precipitation before another strong storm system arrives to the Midwest on Tuesday, bringing yet another threat of severe weather later on Tuesday afternoon and evening for Mid-Missouri. Rainfall totals will be high in this time frame, with much of the region picking up 3-5″ from Saturday through Tuesday. The pattern stays unsettled and warmer than average all through next week.
