Tracking rain & storm chances this evening, Temperatures stepping towards Summer

THIS AFTERNOON: We’re continuing to track a quick moving bubble of low pressure moving across Mid-Missouri this afternoon. This will bring a chance at showers and storm into this evening, especially along and north of I-70. It’s warmer and more humid today with highs in the 70s.

TONIGHT: Scattered showers continue overnight, but nothing will be severe. Rain will be out before the morning commute. Temperatures only drop into the upper 50s.

EXTENDED: Spotty showers or storms are possible again late Wednesday evening as another weak system tracks through. Beyond that, the jet stream continues to lift north this week, allowing temperatures to increase into the 80s. Thursday and Friday are dry and warm, but a big change to the weather pattern will bring a chance for rain Saturday night into Sunday. Some thunderstorms will be possible as well.
