Storms possible this afternoon
WEDNESDAY: Showers and a few thunderstorms continue through late morning. There is some uncertainty whether we’ll see more storms develop by late afternoon and evening. If skies clear out, there is a threat of severe weather for all of Mid-Missouri, and we’ll look for potential damaging winds along with heavy rain. The main line of storms will arrive in our western counties near 2 PM, quickly exiting east toward 6-7 PM. Highs reach the mid-70s.
TONIGHT: Skies will clear briefly tonight with more clouds building as we head into Thursday morning. Rain chances will be spotty overnight as low temperature fall into the upper 50s.
Rain and storms exit quickly east with the cold front on Thursday, leaving behind cool air with highs only reaching the low 60s on Thursday afternoon. Skies stay cloudy through most of Thursday with just a few peeks of sunshine. We stay dry through Friday and most of Saturday. A weak front slides through on Saturday night into Sunday morning, bringing the chance for a little rain. Severe weather isn’t expected this weekend. EXTENDED:
