Great weather has arrived this weekend, will be short-lived as more storms arrive this week
TONIGHT: After a gorgeous day Saturday, we’re going to cool things back down tonight. There will be a bit of a May chill in the air as you head out the door in the morning as many of us dip into the upper 40s.
SUNDAY: Sunday presents a warmer day across Mid-Missouri. Under lots of sunshine and southerly winds, we’ll warm quickly into the afternoon– into the mid-and-upper 70s. There’s a slight chance we could see a quick rain shower develop in the afternoon hours if we get warm enough, but I’m not expecting any major issues with precipitation tomorrow. Clouds will increase into the evening.
EXTENDED: After a brief break from the wet weather, the upcoming work week looks like another soaker. Storms look to start to enter the region Monday, with a few strong thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. The main threats would be large hail and high winds. Several more rounds of showers and thunderstorms will follow into the week, with the risk for strong to severe storms possible much of the week.
We’ll continue to track chances any impactful weather as we take on this next round of rainfall on ABC 17 News on-air and online.
