After a week of wet weather, we quiet down this weekend and see sunshine return to Mid-Missouri
THIS AFTERNOON: A weak cold front is tracking out of Kansas this afternoon. Along that, an area of spotty showers has developed and is tracking east along I-70. Any rainfall seen today will be light and limited in coverage. We can expect temperatures to rise into the low to mid 60s by this afternoon under cloudy skies.
TONIGHT: Clouds stick around the area tonight as temperatures dip into the low 50s. Spot showers can’t be ruled out, but most areas will stay dry tonight.
EXTENDED: The gloomy and miserable week might be worth it considering the beautiful weekend that looks to unfold. Sunshine returns on Saturday and stays with us through the weekend. Temperatures on Saturday top out in the low 70s, warming slightly on Sunday into the upper 70s, allowing us to dry out for a few days. Southwesterly flow sets back up heading into Monday and Tuesday and looks like it will be tough to shake once again, which will bring back an unsettled weather pattern for a good portion of the upcoming week. Be sure to check back on-air or online for the latest on the forecast as it gets rainy again next week.
