MU sees 15 percent jump in fall enrollment
The University of Missouri is expecting a 15 percent jump in freshman enrollment from 2018 for fall 2019.
As of Thursday, 5,460 had paid their enrollment deposits. However, students can continue to enroll through the summer, so those numbers could change.
“The projected average ACT of MU’s incoming freshman class is over 26,” the university said in a press release.
University spokesman Christian Basi previously attributed the increase in enrollment to new leadership at the university and recruiting efforts around the state, among other things.
“There are a lot of factors that have gone into play that have, we feel, contributed to the significant resurgence and interest in coming to Mizzou,” Basi said.
