Vehicle stuck in water on Strawn Road

A vehicle became stalled and became stuck in flood waters in the 800 block of Strawn Road Wednesday morning after multiple areas became flooded due to heavy rain.

There was one person in the car when it became stuck in the water, and the person was concerned about the rising waters as they tried to get out.

Crews used a flotation device on him and were able to walk the man out of the flood waters. The Boone County Sheriff’s Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Columbia Fire Department all responded to the scene.
