Medical marijuana application rules move forward

The rules on who may be able to open a medical marijuana dispensary are a step closer to being finalized.

A committee met Wednesday morning at the Governor Hotel in Jefferson City to review the potential questions that will eventually appear on the application to open a dispensary.

The review of 75 questions included topics such as proof of liquid assets to successfully open and operate a dispensary, diversity in ownership and security.

Application forms, instructions and rules for medical marijuana businesses are set to be posted to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services website on June 4.
