Columbia firefighters respond to vehicle in water

Columbia firefighters responded to reports of a vehicle stranded in floodwater on Blackfoot Road late Tuesday night as storms moved through the area.

Officials with the department said a woman called 911 after her vehicle was caught in floodwater after 11:15 p.m. Officials said the woman was able to get out of her vehicle and no one was in the car when firefighters arrived.

Crews have since closed Blackfoot Road due to flooding.
