Strong to Severe Thunderstorms possible into this evening
*A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for all of Mid-Missouri until Thursday morning*
THIS AFTERNOON: Showers and storms continue to pull through the viewing area this afternoon. We’re expecting more organized severe weather to be developing this evening. The storms that have rolled through this morning were NOT the main event. We’ll continue to be on guard through midnight for severe storms.
TONIGHT: A line of storms will pull through mid-Missouri after 8 PM. As you head to bed expect heavy rain, thunder, and the potential for damaging winds. Showers will exit east after midnight tonight. Temperatures drop into the low 60s through the night.
EXTENDED: There will be a few lingering showers early Wednesday. As the cold front finally pushes east toward evening, another round of strong storms is possible, bringing a hail and wind threat to Mid-Missouri. Rain and storms diminish and exit southeast early on Thursday. We dry out briefly again for Friday before the potential for storm chances return into the weekend.
