Prosecutors file charges following shooting in northeast Columbia
Charges have been filed against a man following a shooting in northeast Columbia.
Jeffrey T. Tucker, 26, of Columbia, was arrested Friday following an investigation in the 1300 block of Dawn Ridge Road.
Police responded to the home after a shooting was reported around 9:31 a.m., according to court documents.
Tucker is accused of shooting a gun at two men inside a white SUV.
A probable cause statement reveals three bullet holes were discovered in the SUV, but no one was hurt in the shooting.
Police said several bullet casings hidden in a beer can by another person at the home were found.
Tucker is charged with two felony counts of first-degree assault.
A court hearing for Tucker is scheduled in Boone County on May 21.
