Hundreds without power in mid-Missouri during Tuesday storms

Storms in mid-Missouri left hundreds without power on Tuesday night.

Boone County Electric Cooperative reported 164 people without power at 8:16 p.m. A spokesperson for the cooperative said that crews were still investigating what caused the outage.

Three Rivers Electric Cooperative reported 75 customers without power in Cole, Miller and Gasconade counties. Mark Boyer, marketing manager for the cooperative, said crews were also investigating what happened to cause the outages.

About 800 Ameren Missouri customers near the Lake of the Ozarks lost power around 9:30 p.m. Lori Light with Ameren Missouri said a weather-related substation outage caused people to lose power, and that crews were on their way to restore power.
