Waves of rain, severe storms possible this week
*A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for all of Mid-Missouri until Thursday morning*
TONIGHT: Another round of storms arrives for this evening and will continue overnight. Heavy rainfall, lightning, thunder, and small hail are possible into the morning hours. Overnight lows drop into the upper 50s.
TUESDAY: Morning showers exit as a warm front lifts north early in the day. We will watch this boundary closely for storm development after 12PM. A line of strong thunderstorms is expected to arrive after 5PM and last into late evening. Damaging winds, hail, and isolated tornadoes will all be possible, along with flash flooding.
EXTENDED: Showers and storms exit east overnight with a few lingering showers early Wednesday. As the cold front finally pushes east toward evening, another round of strong storms is possible, bringing a hail and wind threat to Mid-Missouri. Rain and storms diminish and exit southeast early on Thursday.
