Two people facing charges after authorities find drugs, guns in Columbia home

UPDATE: Authorities released the names of both suspects arrested in the situation. Cassiopeia Blaise, 34, and Bryan Tullous, 36, are both facing charges of drug trafficking and unlawful possession of a firearm.

ORIGINAL: Officers with the Columbia Police Department assisted several other agencies recover drugs and firearms while serving a search warrant in northeast Columbia on Friday.

Police said in a news release that the warrant was served at 1701 Hanover Boulevard around 3:45 p.m.

Police said the Special Weapons and Tactics Team assisted with serving the warrant after a narcotics investigation was done by the East Central Drug Task Force, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Drug Enforcement Administration and detectives with the Vehicle, Narcotic and Organized Crime Unit.

Detectives seized a package from a local delivery service after K-9 detected narcotics, police said. According to the news release, detectives found about five pounds of methamphetamine inside of the package.

Police said the detectives organized a controlled delivery of the package to the intended home and the people inside of the home accepted the package. Authorities then obtained a search warrant for the home and said they found 12 guns, three of which were reported stolen.

Police said the two people at the home are convicted felons, meaning they can’t own a gun.

Police arrested both people, but have not released the names of the suspects.
