Mark Fenner no longer with MFA Oil

Officials with MFA Oil confirmed in a Facebook message Wednesday night that President and CEO Mark Fenner is no longer with the company.

Marion Kertz, chairman of the board of directors, said in a statement that the company wished Fenner well.

“We appreciate the work Mark did for MFA Oil Company, and we wish him the best in future endeavors,” Kertz said.

Officials did not expand on the circumstances surrounding Fenner’s departure. As of 9 p.m., Fenner was still listed on the company’s website as part of the mangement team.

ABC 17 News attempted to contact Fenner on Wednesday night for a comment, but has not heard back.

According to the company’s website, Fenner was previously the chief operating officer before beginning his role as president and chief executive officer in September 2014. He replaced Jerry Taylor, who retired after 11 years.
