Seth Woods to be recommended as Beulah Ralph’s next principal

The current assistant principal at Beulah Ralph will be recommended to the Columbia Board of Education to become the principal, district officials said.

Officials with Columbia Public Schools made the announcement in a press release Tuesday.

Seth Woods will take over the position from current Principal Tim Majerus. Majerus announced his retirement in March.

Officials said Woods has been the assistant principal at Beulah Ralph since 2015 when the school opened. Prior to that position, Woods was the director of curriculum and instruction for Centralia R-VI School District. Woods also spent 13 years as a teacher in Centralia, officials said.

Officials said Woods is currently in the process of completing his doctorate in education leadership and policy analysis at the University of Missouri.
