Another bright and beautiful afternoon in store for any Easter activities
EASTER SUNDAY: We’ll be greeted with even more sunshine waking up this morning, and with winds turning out of a more southerly direction, even warm up a bit more than we did yesterday. Temperatures will reach the low 80s this afternoon with the help of winds at times gusting to near 30 mph. Clouds will start to pick up later today, toward the evening.
TONIGHT: Data this morning is suggesting that we could be tracking an isolated storm late tonight into the early morning, possibly impacting the morning commute for some. With clouds increasing throughout the night, temperatures will only cool off into the low 60s.
EXTENDED: The rest of the afternoon on Monday looks to stay dry. We’ll be tracking a front that will slide south into the region, but with a fairly stout cap in place, our storm chances look limited at best. This front never makes it through the entire viewing area before stalling. That keeps our chances of showers and storms around into Tuesday through Thursday. The general idea this morning is a widespread chance of showers and storms on Tuesday, and the better shot further south in the viewing area Wednesday and Thursday. High pressure moves in by Friday, kicking the boundary out of Mid-Missouri. Temperatures stay mild this week, in the low to mid 70s.
