Mizzou defensive back Terry Petry to transfer

According to a team spokesperson, defensive back Terry Petry will transfer away from Mizzou for next season.

The spokesperson said Petry is transferring in order to be closer to home and family. Petry is from Missouri City, Texas.

Prior to the move, Petry was listed as the backup to DeMarkus Acy on the most recent depth chart at cornerback.

During his redshirt freshman season with the Tigers, Petry appeared in eigth games last year. Petry had five tackles and one forced fumble.

Petry saw his playing time diminish after a rough game against Purdue in week three. In the game, Petry and the Mizzou secondary allowed David Blough to throw for 572 yards and three touchdowns.
