Water main break prompts Boone County boil advisory

Boone County Public Water Supply District #10 has issued a boil advisory for residents in northern Boone County.

A press release from the district says a water main break was the cause of the advisory being issued.

Affected areas include:

Blakemore Road Williams Road Maiden Road Oak Grove School Road Lockwood Lane N. Proctor Road Gruender Lane N. Old Number 7 Hwy. 124 (west of Hopper Road/ U.S. 63)

Customers living in this area are warned to bring water to a rolling boil for at least five minutes, and turn off ice makers.

The advisory will stay in effect until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2019.
