Strong storms tonight with all modes of severe weather possible
WEDNESDAY: Clouds hold during much of the day but highs still soar to near 80 degrees with breezy southwest winds. A Weather Alert Day has been issued for tonight as storms arrive late and could be strong to severe.
TONIGHT: The ABC 17 StormTrack Weather Team has issued Weather Alert Day for Wednesday night ahead of a chance for strong storms. Storms enter into mid-Mo past 9 PM with intensifying downpours through the night. The Storm Prediction Center has us in a slight risk for severe weather through early Thursday morning. The main threats will be damaging winds with the line of storms, as well as large hail up to 1″ in diameter. Storms will linger into the overnight hours and the severe threat will diminish by sunrise Thursday.
EXTENDED: Showers linger into the early part of Thursday as the cold front continues to push east. Wind shift out of the northwest through early Thursday as temperatures will be dropping behind the front. Highs will be cooler in the mid 50s under cloudy skies. Skies slowly clear into Friday morning and afternoon as temperatures rebound back into the 60s. Easter weekend looks gorgeous with sunshine and highs in the 70s.
